Will spending cuts on Social Housing be a huge boost on construction industry?

I hear that housing benefit for private tenants is going to be reduced. At the moment people can have larger allowances if they are renting as a private tenant funded by benefits. If a universal benefit is created will that mean that these tenants will no longer be able to afford to be private tenants with state benefit. Where will these people go? Will the government have to build huge amounts of new social housing? Obviously this will give the construction industry a much needed boost. And what effect will this have in the current trend of rental prices increasing??????????

Hi i see where your coming from, but think its a bit of a long shot, think the construction industry has a rocky road ahead, especially if they are relying on government contacts
