Hi there i would like to ask a question in regards to engaging professionals for advice/services.
Should you try and find a local professional or could they be nationally based?
The reason is i don't particularly want to travel to them. how far would a someone generally travel to see a client. Also is it actually necessary to conduct these things face to face or could it be on skype?

It depends what you want.Ideally, the most important thing is a sympathetic and competent professional who take the time to understand you and provide an ongoing service. Professional are rarely competent at everything their profession theoretically covers, though many try to be.
IMHO a personal relationship is much more important than the ability to meet. A meeting to resolve a simple situation will take (and cost) at least an hour with phones, waiting in reception, travelling.
