Life Insurance!! Scary

asked by Peter Pan posted 3 Years ago at 18:59
Yo all, i'm a fit and healthy 34 year old. The thought of getting life insurance has been nagging at me for the last couple of years but i haven't got round to it. I now have a couple of brats and have to think of them if the worst happens. My work does not provide me with life insurance so i started to look around but not really sure whats the best plan. I earn around 45k a year.

Easy Peter Pan - if its just pure life insurance you want its all about cheapest premium. Either get an IFA to organise it for you or go onto one of the many comparison sites and just enter details and compare prices...now I'm flying off on my fairy wings :)Hils x

As Hils suggests speak to a professional no fee/fee free insurance broker as they have the knowledge, when compared to comparison sites, to discuss who, what, why and for how long you require cover for. If you do go for a comparison site then you need to be asking yourself the same questions. You have mentioned your 'brats' is their a 't'uther half' to consider. How much do you want to leave them? Is it just living costs or uni fees, holidays, cars for their future. Is it just your death you wish to cover or have you considered critical/serious illness cover as this could be a life changing event. Until when do you need the money paid out till as 'brats' will hopefully be self-sufficient one day, or am I living in 'Never'land now.

Hope that helps!
