Extending Porch

I would like to extend my porch into the front garden to create a bit more entrance space. Does this require planning permission? K :S

Hi Kirsty I read at (extendmyhouse.net) that you need permission if;
•erect a porch that would have a floor area of more than 3m2 (measured externally).
•erect a porch that extends more than 3m above floor level.
•erect a porch that would be less than 2m from the boundary of a house
But you better check out for yourself - hope this helps..
